Primary oil feed on a primo belt system

#1

Post by baz »

Hi
Help needed
I have a 1950 pan with a dry primo primary.
The question is on the s&S oil pump there is a Primary oil feed adjustment. should this be shut off, or is it needed to feed oil to the Timken bearing,
Thanks Barry

Barry,
Shut it off, gently, so as not to damage the pump. It is only for the no longer there primary chain. The Timken is oiled internally by splash and vapor, no special feed to it!
