Re: what was your first motorcycle?
My first bike was a husqvarna cr250 dirt bike and then I got a Suzuki TM400 dirt bike but promptly got rid of for I liked my husky. Sad to say I only have a photo of my 3rd bike but first street legal Honda 450 customized not stock. I ran the heck out of it until the wiring fried after my wreck. Which sadly is the only photo of it. LOL ouch.

- My Honda 450 called super short. After flipping it. Not to mention me at a young age.

G'day Radar,
Well here it is,
I was still at school 1969, and a mate and I shared this WLA
This is a shot from 1971. But long gone now.
This one started it all, for me.
"We still ride and enjoy, the bikes from our past"
Cheers
Pete
P.S. I don't like the new picture window much!

Re: what was your first motorcycle?
this was my first bike, bought it from a friend that ended up being my brother in law for 23 years any way.
The top end was so sick it had to be started with starting fluid. Bought it for 1000 and road it home 25 miles with no motorcycle endorsement. A week later I had the top end all rebuilt and running good.
Picture was taken 6 years after I bought it in a fresh make over in my liking with my now 32 year old daughter modeling with it.

A pull start mini bike! When I was seventeen I sold y drumset to buy a Yami Seca 400 then started saving for my first Harley an early 90s 1200-Sporty. I'd lusted for a harley since the mini bike days when a buddy and I would "borrow" his brother's "Iron Horse" mags

50cc Yamaguchi my uncle brought home from Thailand, he was stationed there in late 60s. I was 13 and had no clue how to use a clutch. I almost took the barn door off my first ride.

Re: what was your first motorcycle?
Back in 1968 ish My first mode of 2 wheel transportation was a 20 inch bike frame with a briggs and Stratton 3.5 hp vertical engine, belt drive, banana seat, sissy bar, ape hanger bike. 25 mph top speed, what a great machine. Very high maintenance.
Delivered papers on it. Then I graduated to a 1975 Harley Davidson Sportster. Stupid me took it apart to customize it.

Re: what was your first motorcycle?
Where I grew-up there were 2 10-story bldgs. going up.My buddy had a Minibike with a 3.5 horse Briggs/Stratton on it.We unbolted one of the cement mixer motors from the site & it was a 12-horse Koeler I believe. We both came close to killing ourselves numerous time as the brakes couldt stop the thing after a week.So Pop set us up with a drumbrake from a Honda.WE were 14 then --AT 16 Pop got me a 69 Shortster/In crates & buckets/& said you got 1-year from now to finish it.I did olny It was my 1st dragbike. He took a look at it & said Does it run?-Yes with a bump as the kicker didn't exsist. He takes it for a 10-minit ride & said Ill build you a set of weelie bars & get a slik for it!--So I rode her without the bars on the street/& weekends were all about chasing the clock. He didn't say much /But I could hear him when staging -(my boy built that himself)--I guess he was proud!/To much cause he would roll that thing downhill & disappear for a halfhour ---That's my story/With a LEGAL LICENSE it was the 69-shortster.----Respectfully---Richie

Re: what was your first motorcycle?
Honda Z-50 when I turned 11, rode that little bike ten thousand miles around my neighborhood. Had the old knobs with fold down handlebars. Man I wish I still had that bike! Pop have it away years after I moved out.
