Re: vintage photos
I think you are correct Robbie, i finally got my early books out and i think it may be a model 7A. One of my books mentions vertical head fins were used from 11 to 19. I cannot tell if that means all bikes or singles or twins.

Well .... No input on it. May be not enough in the picture to tell. He thinks it might be a 28 Harley.

Re: vintage photos
I came across this picture of the Founders, taken in 1914. It's probably been posted here already, if so, I apologise for the duplication.
And then I did some googling to get their dates of birth to see how old they would have been in 1914 (Harley, 33; Davidson 34). When I saw the pictures of each alongside their biographies, I thought that the men in the 1914 picture dod not look much like the biography photos. Then I found this:
http://factually.gizmodo.com/8-more-vir ... 1638770668" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
From a Harley-Davidson fan page where the image first appeared online:
I was enjoying your page with all the old Harleys and remembered that I have a photo of my cousin's grandfather and his grandfather's brother each sitting on the brand new 1914 Harleys that they purchased in 1914. I am not sure, but I believe the photo may have been taken at the dealership (probably not realy a dealership back then, but the guy must have been an HD distributer) in Wanamingo, MN.
This is supposed to be a photo of William & Arthur in 1924 when hey would have been in their mid-40s

Post #5.....
This pic reminds me of getting stuck in the beach sand of Ormond Beach, north of Daytona where the sand was as soft as in this snow scene....

That post reminds me of an old 1980 Iron Horse photo from an article someone sent in about bikers being caught in the ash fallout from the Mt. St. Helens eruption.
