Thanks Rob......i will have to look up the records and see just how many miles i had on that lower end before rebuild.....what happened was the pinion shaft started flaking off the outer hardness , then that screwed up the pinion bearings and all that Chit went thru the motor taking stuff with it.......i checked the oil and seen that crap in the tank and pulled the motor out for re build....she only had to be bored .020 over...walls were scored and also new lower end crank shaft and bearings..and a few years later i added the S&S heads......she sure runns great and they all Love to Look at her.

I have a ole school mechanic that told me to add 4 oz's of Marvel to the oil change and yes i add some to my gas too........too much will foul plugs...in the gas and one ounce to 2 1/2 gals if the preferred mix.

The upper ring area is the driest part in the engine and marvel will lube that area quite well.

Laters .

I traded my 77 low rider title for title back in 1978 for a 1952 Pan.
Took 30 years to get it right. Hope this is the last time I take it apart.

I bought my 48 EL last year as a basket.
I traded my 79 shovel for a 60 FL almost a year later. I have
always loved panheads, but I was never financially able
to own one. It still trips me out that I have two now.

I've owned my 62 pan since 1974. In the process of a rebuild right now for a winter project.

I've owned my '62 for twentyseven years. Friday I sent some pics to Amir Glinik and he whipped this up. There's still some detail work to be done but I think it looks great.

Seen it ? That's Amir's site. He was gracious enough to render my '62.

Hi guys. I've had "Baby Doll #1" since 1962. Now she's set up as a '60's Frisco chopper, only with drag bars instead of apes.

I rode this machine to high school. Great old bike. Now I just ride her around the Snoqualmie Valley.

WOW! A lot of dedicated Pan owners around here. Very impressive.
I have wanted a '58 Duo Glide every since I knew what one was over tweenty years ago but could never swing the cash for one. By the time I could afford one I spent my money on "push the button and ride bikes" because with running a business and a family thats all I had time for.
A couple weeks ago I finally got my mixed years Pan. Its a basket case now but hopefully in spring after its 17 year break it will be back on the road.
