Re: Any good WL/WLA/G Projects going on
I'm not sure why the rear repro muffler clamp doesn't work with a repro muffler on my Servi-car. There's not enough adjustment, I even made the slots bigger. I can't install the muffler clamp bolt into the bracket, It's off by over 1" I guess the repro parts are not to OEM specs. So I'm fabricating and machining my own today with plenty of adjustment. Cheers! Mike

I looked but dont see where you sourced the red “truck” bed. Is it from a lawn cart or did you make it?

Gonna revive 50Wl2100. Came to me with smashed timing half. Bought another motor (which was a composition as wel) and remached the cases. Lower end is ready to roll, waiting for barrels....

If anyone feels particularly ambitious I still have a matched set of 52WLA cases along with the original cams and cam cover. Last year Military 45. I also have a complete 42WLA lower end from a running bike. It was in a trike when I got it.

Re: Any good WL/WLA/G Projects going on
Update on my brake situation. As previously posted, the Wagner master cylinder I installed has a bore that it too small to effectively apply the rear brakes. After some technical research, I installed a 10psi Wilwood Residual Pressure valve. This has solved my problem of " double pumping" the rear foot brake pedal. It maintains a constant 10psi pressure "behind" the pressure valve which allows a normal brake pedal with a smaller bore. It's not road tested yet, but pushing the bike and applying brake, I see a normal pedal. To be continued...

Re: Any good WL/WLA/G Projects going on
58-72 Wagner BT master cylinder had an internal residual pressure valve for rear hyd drum
73-74 Wagner BT identical M/C except they left out the valve for rear disc use
New valve comes in repair kits
Sounds to me like you don't have the valve in your BT Wagner M/C
As others have said, on the road you could still have issues with this master cyl in dual drum application (even with your Willwood valve) ie savage rear brake, lack of fluid volume
What happened to the stock Servi M/C and bracket you bought?
Nifty

I still have the factory bracket that I purchased off of eBay. That’s my backup plan. I won’t weld that on to my powder coated frame until I’ve exhausted all my options.

And that, sports fans, is the draw back to a PC finish. It is not easily repairable.....

Re: Any good WL/WLA/G Projects going on
I've had an ignition timing problem that took me a while to sort out. The timer was properly installed, and the points properly gapped. (So I'm not going into installation because that wasn't the issue.) But when you would advance the timing by turning the left hand grip the engine would shut off. Made no sense! I've checked, double checked, and triple checked how I was installing the timer. So yesterday, I noticed with the timer cap off, and turning the timer by hand, the timer plate would wobble on the shaft. It actually rocked. So checking against an old OEM timer I had in my basement. there is NO wobble on a factory timer plate. It only rotates. The only conclusion I can come to is that the "wobble" was drastically changing my point gap and shutting me down. The timer that is installed is a brand new V Twin repro that was not cheap. I fully advanced the timer by hand and made sure my gap was correct, and just kicked it over fully advanced. It ran perfectly. Foiled again by a new repro part. And as a follow up, neither the manufacturer nor the vendor of the V Twin oil pump issue ever made good on it.

I emailed him, as per Wendy’s instructions. And got no help.
