Re: EBAY big flatty
I'm watching this one just to get a vague idea of what my 38UL could bring.
Not looking to sell...just curious.

Re: EBAY big flatty
In days gone by someone thought it was cool to have wheels with holes. What's the deal with the holes drilled in the rear wheel?
The bike has more modifications if you look closely.

Yeah, let's take the part that supports a whole lot of weight and transfers all the power to the road and drill it into oblivion.1950Panhead wrote: ↑Sun Mar 19, 2023 12:00 pmIn days gone by someone thought it was cool to have wheels with holes. What's the deal with the holes drilled in the rear wheel?

LOL...
The rear "seat" is useless, so why the buddy pegs?
Once cleaned up and the paperwork gotten in order, this could be a decent scooter, disregarding the price.....

Re: EBAY big flatty
I like the "fake " B&H shifter. Gutted and tied to a ratchet top. I've had several drilled wheels over the years. The load carrying capacity doesn't affect them much, but they fill with water and rot.

Re: EBAY big flatty
Not everybody wants a boring assed, period correct, restored, number matching, stocker. And when a bike has gone beyond restoring, why not enjoy it as some sort of modified rider? My Shovel's that way, and I love it, been loving it for over 50 years....

As long as you don't fit a front brake & then find out the hard way when you use it in an emergency to find the forks snap off & take the bird shit welded frame neck with them & you land on the road first & get crushed by the flying sickle !!!

All birds in the usa are required to attend 9 months of welding school when they turn five.
Most birds pass and receive ASME certification, the birds that fail are deported.
