Re: 37UL6900 New Mexico motorcycle club
They have been buying running motorcycles and parting them out for years....
And often misidentifying the application for many of the Harley parts they list.....
But, hey, if one needs the part and willing to pay the price, so be it....

Re: 37UL6900 New Mexico motorcycle club
Jerry Johnson was Bobby Johnson's brother, they both rode with that club. It was the all makes club as the other one was the H-D sponsored club. Bobby "J" as he was called was an Indian dealer in the late '50s selling all the Brockhurst stuff. He went on to be a Yamaha dealer (where I bought my first new bike as a kid). All the folks are gone these days, even Bobby's son Stanley recently died and Jerry's son Verne died vintage racing about ten years ago..1950Panhead wrote: ↑Mon Feb 06, 2023 7:27 pm Robbie,

This was the H-D club sponsored by Charlie Pinkard of Albuquerque.

Re: 37UL6900 New Mexico motorcycle club
Robbie,
Thanks for the story.
Someone in that club owned the 37UL.
They may have sold it and bought another motorcycle or the family sold it when the owner passed away.
My grandfather's brother owned motorcycles in the 30's 40's 50's.
That generation passed away forty years ago, then the next generation passed away.
Life is a temporary situation for sure.
If the old timers could see their $100 motorcycle sell for $45k !

The Albuquerque Motorcycle Club clubhouse still exists. It is a rental property owned by the heirs of Charlie Pinkard.
