I purchased a set of main leaf Servi-car springs with front eyelet a while back and just found out that the spring doesn't fit my original leaf spring pack. My springs are 1 1/4" wide and this spring is a 1 1/2" wide. Does anyone know why the width is different or what it would be used on?
Thanks!

Re: Servi-car leaf springs
Hi Mike,
I see by your profile you have a 1946 Servi-car, I previously had a 1946 Servi-car also that I restored.
As for your question, the '46 servi-cars used 1 1/4" leaf springs for the box frame & according to my parts book the 1 1/2" started in '48.
When I acquired my '46, I decided to restore it as accurately as I could and then have it judged by the AMCA. It took me 4 years but after 2 times getting it judged, I got my senior in Davenport in 2003 with 99 1/2 points.
