plugs
I went to the big city today thinking that I would be able to pick up some J12Y's or equivalent, my towns new NAPA doesn't carry them. They said that they would have them in the morn. They gave me an Autolite 85, which is a resistor plug. Turns out the big city had the same program, no non resistor plugs. I came home with 6 bucks worth of RJ12Y's. Been 30 yrs or so since I had to play this game but it was much easier then. So... the question, does it really matter?

Re: plugs
On battery/coil you can run whatever you like.
It’s magnetos that greatly prefer non-resistor plugs.

Modifying Resistor Plug to Non Resistor Plug
FYI. When you simply don't want the wretched thing. Innovative solution. Haven't run out of non-resistor plugs yet but this is good to know.
