Toolbox-lid closing mechanism

I recently ordered a tool box for my 62FL. It's the teardrop box with the smooth cover-lid and only a slotted screw instead of a lock with key.

While I'm still waiting for it to arrive I discovered a possible problem coming up from having a closer look to the pictures:

The slotted screw is held with some kind of circlip on the inside. I can see the threaded part of the screw protruding maybe 8 to 10mm.

But there is nothing further to lock the lid. No catch, no bolt. And when looking in the parts book also nothing is visible and Palmers also shows no photo from inside.

What is used to close the lid and secure it to the body? Part#?

The screw is held captive to lid by the "E" clip.
Screw is turned as lid closes, be careful to not cross-thread, or over-tighten.
There is no "lock" on these later tool boxes
No rocket science involved
Pre 55 had the locks
Then a thumb-screw (like a wing-nut but with male thread)
Many have been retro-fitted with a knurled knob screw, so no tool needed to open/close tool box. Some small coins may fit screw slot, but when you need a tool, you still need to have one in a pocket Duh!
Some old British bikes used a screw with a single short lever, gravity ensures these always hang downwards, so they can never fully unscrew in use.
Original Royal Enfields used a similar screw on their valve adjustment cover, don't know about India made Enfields.
Lid unscrewing in service more of a problem 58up because toolbox close to vertical on SA frame.

The screw screws into the body of the tool box. Otherwise, there is no latch or lock....

Oops.... looks like I was fooled and someone took advantage of me not knowing how the boxes look from inside.

Have a look at the picture. Looks like cover and Body of the box don't fit together. Seems to be a mixture of different parts?

Another con-job, now known as "marketing", twas ever thus, or caveat emptor would not exist.

Salvage by making from 4mm plate, a weld-in, screw receiver/bracket with female thread
Remove screw, use closed cover screw hole to mark new part for new hole, drill & tap.

What is the thread size of that screw?

Sorry, can't be certain, but from memory 5/16" UNC
Someone else may have one on hand to confirm

It is 5/16" fine thread, not coarse.
