Hello All,
If the left side Countershaft Bushing (in the case) has more wear than the manual calls for...like by .004...
What are the effects when that bushing wears out?
What ocurrs?
Thanks

Re: 1949 WL - Trans CS Bushing
I'm not really knowledgeable on WL transmissions, but have rebuilt a couple of big twin 4-speed gearboxes, and assume the mainshaft/countershaft arrangement and operation are similar. That being said, my guess is maybe just noisier operation. I don't see that amount of countershaft slop affecting shifting too badly or leading to catastrophic failure. How does the rest of the gearbox check out?
