WLC Frame Casting Numbers

#1

Post by DeltaElite »

I searched Palmers, but i couldn't find anything saying about "number codes" for the Frame Casting Numbers regarding to production Year.

Is there anything similar like as with e.g. the cylinder casting numbers?

Unfortunately numbers are not very easily recognizable.

This picture shows the right side, i just turned the pic, so we can read the numbers better. Looks like 19 - 3S or 35 or 38 ??? Does this tell me something about the year?

And what about this? Any ideas? Hardly recognizable

There IS a telltale; in the headstock (2nd photo) is a date code.
The last two numbers after 'ZE 35T' can tell you something about the timeframe the frame was produced in.
See Palmers 'Third Edition- "How to Restore.. " Volume 1 page 81.

Thank you so much. I don't have it in my Palmers. This list is not in the book.

I can't find or recognize any numbers beyond the SE-6T or ZE35-T unfortunately. So i have to wait till i have the frame directly in front of meto be sure.

Afaik below the ZE35-T on the left there should be a mark for the forging company, correct?

If that is true i would suggest that next to.it there is only a one digit number.
