Re: 1936 Flying Coloud
Thanks Roo !!!
One very fine bike. Really, really nice.
Great pictures
Funnily this is the first time for me looking much closer at a pre-war knuck and discovering
banjos at the oil tank and rocker, simple fuel taps instead of the instant reserve and ... the gap between both tanks
is covered with some rubber strip !?!
Typical example for someone whose Palmer`s is collecting too much dust

I'm glad the gran' kids didn't "restore" this machine. It is original only once, and then it becomes just another restored old bike....

Re: 1936 Flying Coloud
Lowbrow Customs has very aggressive marketing. Once you buy something from them they bombard you with blogs, videos, invitations to parties, etc. There's a lot of good stuff in there, but also a lot of stuff about Sportsters, which I'm not particularly interested in, myself. Anyway they sent the 1936 Flying Cloud article sent to my phone. Good story and bike was mostly original, including paint. Glad the owner is not "restoring" it.

That bike has been around for many years on the AMCA circuit. Lots of magazine articles, etc. Rich and the Ramseys are well known in the old bike field. I've dealt with them since the 80's.

Re: 1936 Flying Coloud
My thoughts, Lowbrow has nothing to do with this bike just using it to get you to click on there page so you might buy some of there stuff, typical marketing technique.

Marketing is part of doing business....
Their guy wrote the story, you can tell by the errors in the text it wasn't very well proof read....

I actually like Lowbrow as a vendor. I like the style of stuff they sell. Can't fault them for aggressive marketing, either. It's part of business. Look at what corporations pay for a commercial slot during the Super Bowl. Sometimes I do get tired of my phone pinging, though.

I hope the caretakers of the bike got reimbursed for it use, maybe they gave them there permission?Mongrel505558 wrote: ↑Sun Apr 17, 2022 7:17 pm I actually like Lowbrow as a vendor. Re: 1936 Flying Coloud
Lowbrow is a good bunch of guys, very into the scene, not just making money. The shows they put on are excellent, I had my Flathead in the Fuel Cleveland show in 2019, great weekend.
And...................
They offer 10% discount on any order to AMCA members. They carry Colony hardware, that should be reason enough to like them.
And the Sportster parts are cool!!!!!
