The 43 knuckle from this post sold for $109k
The other 43 knuckle bid to $140k did not meet reserve.
The 44 knuckle sold for $101k

One question : the 44 Knuck has the later gearshift gate on it . I thought this item was 1947 onwards ?? !! ...

OK , I took a closer look & this gate has first gear at the front , but is the later style // shape shifter gate .... Did HD make such an item ??

It has a 47 gate, that's why it only sold for $101k !

No, it did not. Those are either later tanks with early trim or aftermarket tanks. Just because someone is rich it doesn't make them smart.

Man, I just hope that the new owner has those missing oem-parts on the shelf otherwise it`s a rude awakening :cry:

GOSH the amount of beautiful bikes is killing me , even those dirt bikes from the 70ies brings back fond memories

I was at the auction. Some people have more money than brains. A lot of bad vins on the Harley’s for example both 43’s had bogus numbers the 41 Knucklehead TA had one of the worst number jobs on it. It’s sad

What ?

I thought that all exhibited vehicles are somewhat ligid ! At least potential buyers are told that this or that vehicle is not intended for public road use

Well that’s what they tell you but unfortunately that’s not the case. Both 43’s were re stamps and the TA was a horrible number job.
