Re: handlebar switch
Without seeing, a guess would be the set screw that holds the cable spiral in place.

Re: handlebar switch
I believe it's #8-32 machine screw thread pitch. That's what I used on my switches. Be careful here because you can only grab about 3 or 4 full threads in the handlebar so it's easy to strip.

Re: handlebar switch
As stated above it is a set screw not a machine screw, but most bars are made for 8-32 set screw for the cable spiral.Mongrel505558 wrote: ↑Wed Dec 22, 2021 8:16 pm I believe it's #8-32 machine screw thread pitch. Re: handlebar switch
What bars do you have? Are they OEM offset springer bars? As posted, a picture would help. Normally the setscrew on the left bar is under the dimmer switch and on the right it is just alone. Usually nothing under the horn button.
Another thought is that someone replaced the horn button (single wire) at some time with a starter button (two wire) and added a hole for a ground wire.

Re: handlebar switch
I have a set of oem welded inline bars that I just installed on a project and it too has the set screw for the timer cable under the horn button. I am pretty sure that on the other bars I have it is Nader the dimmer switch.
