Here is the original link by socalrider back in December 2010 with other replies including Bigincher's link to the CAMAIG star hub rebuild. If you look below the responses at the bottom of the page, you will see similar responses to other starhub discussions.

Everything ya got to know is in the manual. The only difference is that at that time and space nobody had a micrometer (Caliper) sitting on the kitchen table. Follow though accordingly. Bob L

Re: Star Hub Rebuild?
The replies answered my question. Thanks . Will rebuild with new rollers.1964 pan wrote: ↑Sat Dec 11, 2021 6:40 am Thank you all for the input. Perhaps I should shorten my question or start another thread. Does any one have any experience or knowledge on the hub rebuild kits on the market by various suppliers? Such as this link? Just asking. Thanks.

Re: Star Hub Rebuild?
Be sure you understand the hub end play. It must be set and checked under tension, not a loose hub on the bench.

Re: Star Hub Rebuild?
Just thought that I would ask. While I am in there should bearing retainers be replaced? Got front hub disassembled. Races in hub looks good. But. Going to need new hub sleeve and fit bearings. Thanks.

Re: Star Hub Rebuild?
It can be frustrating when nobody gives a direct answer to your question, but that's better than someone answering just because they think they have to, and possibly giving incorrect advice.

Re: Star Hub Rebuild?
As long as there is no visible damage,I have always reused the original retainers when refreshing star hubs. If needed Everything else gets changed i.e. rollers ,thrust washers, shims, inside collars. Have done a few this way without any problems to date.good luck
