Dyna Shocks.

#1

Post by 1964 pan »

Again. 13 inch Dyna shocks are difficult to find. I found some 2006 V-Rod shocks on ebay. One pair is 13 inch the other is 14 inch. My old shocks are 13-1/2 inch. I can't decide to go with the 13 or 14 inch. 13 inch are cheaper. But. 14 inch look better. Any thoughts? Thanks.

I'd go for 14, I'd rather have a little more space down the frame.

14" shocks will give that much desired TT, dirt bike, look. And also necessitate lengthening the front fork by at least two inches unless the nose down attitude thusly generated, is acceptable to you....

Put another way, lengthening rear shock length will steepen steering axis. This will move steering toward being more lively and unstable. HTH.

Well. I reckon the question of length is moot. I messaged the seller of the 14 inch shocks about length center eye to eye. He responded that the length was 13 inches. Now. I am going to ask the seller of the 13 inch shocks what the length is. Need to be sure before I buy. Thanks all.

Be ever so careful, as you seem to be, but there are way too many sellers of Harley parts on eBay that have no clue what they are selling, and/or are deliberately misrepresenting their wares just to get a sale.
