Installed Valve Spring Height Micrometer

#1

Post by Mongrel505558 »

I see these available all over the place, but they all look like the same one, and I can't find any published information on the inner diameter of the "cup" the collar sits on. I saw in the KB, I think, that someone machined one to fit big twin retainers, but I don't have a lathe.

Thanks

Can't answer your question, but...
The last part of this video shows doing it with a snap gauge
Before that everyone used depth gauge or steel ruler

Jim:

If you buy one and it doesn't fit, you can send it to me and I'll throw it on the lathe for you. No charge.
