Re: Rear footpegs for Comfort Flex seat
The "correct" frame for comfort flex is around 77up, it has lugs welded at rear of swingarm castings for passenger pegs.
For earlier frames its easiest to use "clamp-on" pegs, but to get the full passenger comfort* from flex seat, better to weld lugs and use all appropriate OE parts. * and safety, unless passenger has extremely long legs, some passengers have to put full body weight on one peg as they climb aboard. No clamp-on peg will handle that for long.
Nifty

Not sure thats correct, the 77 and up. Wasnt the CF seat available earlier? Regardless, can you be clearer on the it has lugs welded at rear of swingarm castings for passenger pegs.

He is correct on the comfort flex dates, post '77. And the two hole block is welded on the frame downtubes and used the cast aluminum "U" shaped peg holder allowing several height adjustments.

Re: Rear footpegs for Comfort Flex seat
Thats exactly the block I have on my fram.e Ive been wondering what the hell they were for. The sliding bracket makes sense. And the pic of the bracket answered 100 questions.
And mo' questions: What are those foot peg brackets called, and a source?
