Try HD generator Service, Rich Brown & son, 125 Watchaug Road, Somers, Ct 06071 Tele#860-749-3880 cel#860-833-8886. They specialize in 32E-65A Harley generators, converting from 3 brush to 2 brush, rebuilding & restoring. I have 2 of their rebuilds, they work great, look NOS when they are done.

Re: Generator
Any generator from a 32E 6V to a 65A 12V made between 1932 and the '70s will fit with the correct 45 drive gear with slinger. Also aftermarket units from all sources. Any '58 up type with 5/16 bolts can be used and the holes reduced to 1/4-24 with the use of a heli-coil screwed into them. Cycle Electric aftermarket units have both sets of hole sizes pre threaded in them. The options are nearly limitless for a generator.

Re: Generator
Great , thankyou I have no knowledge of 45s. My friend is custom building a chopper around a 1947 45 and has no generator. he is a fabricator/machinist/welder. he bent his frame in stainless with no distortion, made his springer, seat etc. Wish i was smart instead of goodlooking.
I am sure he will need more help to complete the motor and transmission. Motor is just mocked up at present.
Thanks for your help
