My CV carb was running to lean . When I backed off from full throttle a 1/4 turn it accelerated faster. I took the 170 main jet out and replaced it with a 185,and it no longer does that.
now when at an idle /fast idle, and I give a quick twist of the throttle a small air/fuel mixture comes out of the carb. It hesitates then gains rpms . I turned the air/fuel screw in, then out and it makes no difference .
The bike didn't do this before I changed jets .
To see if it was the slow speed jet I took the 45 out and put a 52 back in, and it made no difference ..
I don't know where to look now.
ant suggestions will be appreciated.
Neil

Re: cv carb coughs when i blip the throttle at idle
The Idle Mixture screw controls fuel only, it is not an air bleed screw.
The main jet is only a high speed jet, and has not much to do with much of anything below 3,000 RPM.
So, we would like to know some engine specs, like cam, cubic inches, and type of exhaust. Can you share that info?
