Robbie,The blue on has a few wrong bits as well, just not a mess like the red one!!

But also the welded not brazed handlebars, the alternator (so consequently missing the relay and mount), something weird going on with the toolbox mounting, wrong timing cover, with better pics there will be more...

And the primary cover.
(I suppose almost no one with a '40 still runs with the original narrower clutch and primary cover. Ya gotta at least make an effort and get one with the early style inspection cover screws.)
