Just for fun!
There were questions about this "other bikes" section so I thought I'd post one. This is another of my bikes, a 1955 BMW R69 sport model, built up from a barn find beater. I like all kinds of bikes and own a motley assortment...

Re: Just for fun!
The worst of it was the left cylinder with no carb and full of sand. That and the totally missing controls which were a bit tougher to source as the R69 had a manual advance lever on it, unique to that model. It is an early '55, the first year for the R69 and the new Earles fork and swingarm rear. Lots of early one year only stuff, the headlight, taillight, wheel hubs and rims, etc. A few pieces are not on it but are sitting on the shelf.
The bags weren't too bad, a guy in Texas had them and the price was right, including all the hard to find mounting stuff (they are out there as reproductions but these are real "Enduro" branded. They date a bit newer than the bike but I liked them on there. I may switch them at some point though as I have a '65 R69S with a sport front fender and a 32 liter Hoske tank I may put them on.
