Dash Cover Rubber Trim

#1

Post by hd474 »

Gents,

I'm rebuilding my 1950 EL. It was a bucket bike, but most original parts are there. I found 2 pieces of rubber trim in one of the boxes and I assume, these are the rubber trims for the dash cover. All repop rubber trim parts are one piece and in the Palmer are several pictures showing the rubber as one piece and wrapped around the cover completly. What is correct?

Here is a picture of my trim parts

Thanks

I’m certainly no expert but I think the one piece is correct. Your picture looks more like it would be for a later shovel dash.

There was a 1950 and a 1968 speedo in the box, now it make sense.

The trim for the '47 up dash is also a much smaller profile than the E start dash type.
