Has anybody had problems with the aftermarket oil pressure switches? I’ve tried 2 now and light will not go out unless your reving the motor to destruction. The other one, light dosent even go out! Only replaced as original started to leak. Can someone recommend a supplier of OEM switch please?
Thank you.

Re: Oil pressure switch
The short answer is that everyone has had problems with the aftermarket switches. And I don't believe anyone has found a satisfactory replacement. The low turn off pressure is what makes finding a replacement difficult.
Perhaps someone will pipe in with a solution since the last time this was discussed.

Re: Oil pressure switch
+1 . Another case here of a problem with an aftermarket switch. It's started leaking after a couple of years although it's otherwise working OK.
Next I'll follow up VPH-D's suggestion. Thanks!

Re: Oil pressure switch
I decided to take a chance on this, and bought an:
"Oil Pressure Switch/Sending Unit for 1984-1999 Harley Touring, Softail, Dyna & FXR Big Twin Evolution Engine (Except models with electronic pressure gauge) Replaces HD# 26561-84"
on Amazon for ~$20.
I tested it with air pressure before I installed it, and the contacts open at 4PSI and above.
Based on that, it looks like a good fit for my Pan.
Make/Model is:
Billet Proof Designs BPD-67022 (according to the Amazon page)
and Standard Motor Parts MC-OPS3 (according to the package)
and MC1803 on the Standard Motor Parts Website.
Thanks, VPH-D!
