Is this a countershaft third gear for a Sidecar 3 speed with reverse ? Not a mark on it may be NOS .
Anyone want to trade for a nice 1941 up countershaft third with no rounded dogs ?
Thanks, Bob 970-209-6472 call, text or PM

Re: 3 Speed with reverse ?
How many teeth Bob? I have several good gears and would trade you. A 3&R from '39 up has a sliding gear, nothing sits in that position. That gear is for some other box, looks like a low gear without the bushing in it.

Re: 3 Speed with reverse ?
The gear in question has 25 teeth, 5 dogs, and is a nice fit with bronze bush in the second gear countershaft spot.
Has what appears to be a factory stamped "R" .

Re: 3 Speed with reverse ?
If the gear pictured is the one in question and has 5 dogs it would have to be C.S. 2nd for a 4 speed. If memory serves me it would be a 21 tooth gear. On the other hand if it has 25 teeth with 6 dogs it would be C.S. 1st for a 3 speed or 3 speed and reverse....bosheff
