Clutch adjustment

Hi all trying to get this clutch sorted running a belt drive on my pan head and it’s got 5 friction discs and 4 steel discs is this right thanks Nigel

Might have worded this wrong meant to say running a belt drive TrAnsmision with 5 finger clutch hub and the clutch housing has 5 friction discs and 4 steel is this right 👍🏻

Yes, For a 68 and later style clutch.

The 5 plate clutch is fine, I use them on everything, Knuckle, Pan, Big Flatheads. The 5 finger hubs I don't like but they can work fine as well. The biggest issue with belts is usually alignment, which can cause lots of clutch issues if it isn't right. What kind of tranny adjuster do you have (if any) and did you install the belt or get the bike with it on? If the belt runs crooked no clutch adjustment will help it. The belt needs to be perfect to work. And not too tight either.
