For you 12v folks, what part number do you use for signal flashers? My 68 and 70 parts books only show the part number 68540-64 flasher. Everywhere I search on the internet, seems like vendors all advertise this as a 68541-64A or 68541-64B flasher.
Anyone know when/ where this part number changed?

My 1961-1976 parts book lists 68543-64A as 12v and applying from 1965 - * FL, FLH; 71-74 - FX.
The "*" indicates through 1976--the last date the manual applies to.

Re: 68540-64 flasher
The first place I see the 64A is in the '65 parts book. Then in the '71 book it shows both and gives the same fitment for them. Most flashers are rated for draw, and some have a specific post going to the indicator lights. The wiring diagrams are likely the key.
