panhead FL 1953

Hello
I am from Denmark and are close to by panhead 1953. But i was wiondring the VIN number. It says: 53FL 353555
Can any one tell me if its correct ?

Welcome from across the pond.
I have never, ever seen a pan with that high of a Vin number [seen them with five digits], so if its legal, it's kewl.
As for correctness, highly suspect.

it is correct that there should only be 4 numbers.
Ex: 53 FL XXXX

Nice, nice looking scoot. Five digits is kewl, seen alot of them. On this site i do think there is a reference sheet of how many pans where made for specific years.
the vin pad looks good, shoot the whole scooter looks good.

Roughly 3500 panheads were built in 1953.

There are NO 5 digit 53 models, production was far below the 9,000 unit threshold needed to break into 5 digits starting from 1000. That is not a factory number. Being in Denmark and if the paperwork matches the bike and is legal there it isn't an issue. Just not a real H-D number.
