Hi folks, I go crazy by trying to fix / slip on a flex hose cover on my exhaust pipes.
Any good trick?
Like to mount a new system on my Pan, and I love that appearance.
Thax a lot for any info in advance.
Yours Brezelbu

Re: Exhaust Pipe Flex Cover
I noticed that if you twist them on with a screwing type of movement while applying force they would go on. I also did notice that they were tighter on aftermarket chrome pipes than OEM un-chromed pipes.

Since they're a spiral, if you grab it at each end and twist, one direction will make it looser, while the other direction makes it tighter. Twist it in the direction that makes it looser, and work it on a little at a time.
Going on is a lot easier than coming off. If it's been on awhile, it's likely crudded onto the pipe pretty good; the twisting action with plenty of Kroil will do the trick.

Don't you just luv these guy's, empirical tricks ate there best...Since they're a spiral, if you grab it at each end and twist, one direction will make it looser, while the other direction makes it tighter. Twist it in the direction that makes it looser, and work it on a little at a time.

Re: Exhaust Pipe Flex Cover
Got the one on my rear pipe so it looked right but it kept sliding down. So I took the pipe off and a small tack weld on the spiral end on the back side did the trick.
My two cents
