Davenport Blackhawk meet
Anyone going? Leaving Thursday A.M. I'm planning on riding in and camping. Its been a few years since I've been there... I'm guessing the lay out is about the same? Not sure on the camping situation at the grounds, guess I'll find out when I get there. Be cool to meet up and b.s.

Re: Davenport Blackhawk meet
I'm considering a super fast car ride up Friday a.m. and back later the same afternoon from KC. My wife's birthday is Saturday and I can't spare any more time away than that between work for the second boss and birthday for the first boss. Weather looks good on the forecast for Friday so that might be the final factor on whether I go or not.

Had a great ride. Lots of crap to look at. I Always run in circles the first hour trying to get a good look. Then get a plan. Talked to one guy he bought a pretty darn nice 59....

Re: Davenport Blackhawk meet
Thanks John, I was way too busy digging and looking for stuff then went back thru everything a second time checking out the ones I didn't waste time at. Wifie usually does the pics too (she was home) had a great time, little disapointed it open to the modern parts though but that's how it is. Should make a point of getting there a early next year, maybe some of us can meet up.? A guy camped. Next to me from Utah that's going to be a cananballer next year. Had some good conversations. Nice guy.
Bike ran great, purrrrred like a kitten to and fro. Got a wet ass when I hit plover but other than that couldn't have asked for better weather.

Yes we had a good time too, a little disappointed with the quality/vintage of the stuff for sale. not as good as years past.
I was looking for a nice wla frame and possibly a Steib side car for Amy's R 60/2.
no luck on either.

Re: Davenport Blackhawk meet
We went down for the afternoon today, didn't really see anything I needed to drag home.
Amy got a straw hat from Cotten. Nice to see old friends and make the lap.
