Hi, a friend of mine is buidning a 1965 based panhead servicar. He needs a colour code for Harleys hi fi purple. Does any one have it?

Johan,
Hi fi is three stage, silver metallic base, translucent mid coat, clear top coat.
I have Xotic color book with metallic bases and translucent overlays.
I can get you close if no comes forward.
Are you liberator Johan or another Johan ?

Just a small precaution, I did the "Genuine Harley" 3 part paint in red on my '82 FXR after a dump. Had some bondo to cover damage that I primered quite well to prep but, I guess, didn't seal it properly. Within a couple months the sliver base sunk into the filler areas and didn't look right. But right after I painted it, it looked great and matched the fenders that weren't repainted. Learn from my screw up.
