Has it been like this for all those 41 years, or was it ever ridden?
I've owned my old '41 pan chopper for 43 years. Changed its looks a little after riding it one year to figure out what I wanted to change (color, handlebar, seat, sissy bar), than rode it that way another 6 years until I had to change gas tanks (got really tired of looking for gas every 75 miles), and it's been like that ever since.
After 13 years, I managed to scrape up enough cash to buy a '77 bagger, so started riding my beloved old chopper less. Still rode it a lot because it's more fun, but took the bagger on road trips.
Twenty years after I bought the old chopper, and seven years after buying the bagger, I found myself wealthy enough to walk into the Harley shop and ride away on a Fat new BrandBoy. That Evo has been my Number One machine ever since. But my old chopper is STILL the most fun, most familiar, most "me".
(Did not mention my '52 that I bought nine years ago because it's a restoration project that's not quite on the road yet.)

So that's my 43-year history in a nutshell, what's the 41-year history of your '54?

Nothing beats a passive aggressive complement that wasn't asked for!

Nice scoot and agreed, that's a unique tank cover
