Lap Aprons
I have recently purchased a 52FL with lots of original items from original owner's family. He was from Bay area and rode year round from what family said. Included in the parts was a Lap Apron from what research I have found. Not any real info on how it is attached to bike from pics I have found. This appears to be a factory made item without any labels or marking and is well made and what I would call excellent condition. Anyone have more info?

Re: Lap Aprons
The "lap apron" was different than the winter shield apron, and literally goes on your lap. It attaches to the front crash bar with circular clamps and turn screw fasteners. In very cold weather it kept some of the heat of the engine around the riders legs to provide warmth. It is pictured in many of the older accessory catalogs. I'll find a picture and post it.

Re: Lap Aprons
I found it in the 1952 Accessories Catalog with a -51 part number, but not sure if it's the same.

kewl, have had two, but neither one in as nice condition as yours, they either attach to the crash bar.
