I am still working on the rear brake on my 56 FL. When I pulled the rear wheel off I found a broken spoke. I have a wheel to use as a donor but I was unable to get a spoke out of it with the rest of the wheel laced up. The spoke was just long enough to not clear the rim with the nipple un-threaded off the spoke. Am I correct in assuming I will not be able to replace the spoke for the same reason? I guess I can bend the spoke a little. Has anyone been successful doing this?
Thanks ahead of time for your time

No shortcuts, I'm afraid. You'll just have to break the tire off and do it right.

Re: replacing a broken spoke
Do it right, break the wheel down. I have never used the shortening method mentioned, so i have no knowledge how to do it.
Good safe luck, with whatever path you chose.

Re: replacing a broken spoke
I don't like to worry about little things while I'm riding. I like to enjoy the scenery, the air in my hair, and be in tune with my machine.
