Post by vipersniper »

Hello,
I was just wondering if I unscrew the cable from the tranny of my 55 and leave open (gear and plate remaining intact) would I leak oil if running this way? should I cover with somthing?
thankyou

If you remove the screw and pull the entire drive unit out you can cover the hole with a small plate and gasket, the same as H-D did in the mid '70s on Superglides.
