What non O ring chain do people use on Panheads?
Just fitted a Baker 6 into 4 to my 56 bobber and am having clearance issues with the O ring chain I have on the inner tin primary so thought I'd go non O ring.
Been looking at RK chains but get confused with the size of engine they list. a 530 'standard' is up to 400cc, and a 530H is up to 600cc, does that mean i go for a 530DR (drag Racing) chain, up to 1500cc??
That all vary in tensile strength and none except the DR come near an O ring chain for that.
Any ideas would be most welcome, thanks.

Drive Chain ? here's an entertaining if not informative thread on O-ring chains. Chuck at kick start MC Parts can set you up with a good non-roller for under fifty bucks, 616-245-8991...Mike

Re: Rear Chain
I use extended lube chains and lube them with PJ-1 blue. They last many thousands of miles and seldom need adjustment.

Re: Rear Chain
58bob,
I run the regular old 530 rear chains - usually the Diamond brand, but I've also used Tsubaki brand. They are both good, and as far as I know, the Diamonds are still made here in the U.S. As long as you keep them properly adjusted, clean, and lubed, you'll get good life out of them.
