is it normal for pinion bushing to also have bleed hole on the side so oil can leak into cam case the hole looks factory I,m having low oil pressure issues, pump seems ok

The side hole is for a dowel pin to lock the bushing to the cover.
All panheads have low oil pressure, the pump keeps oil flowings through the bearings.

The hole on the side is normal, it has been there since shortly after the change to recirculating oil. I had one early flathead cam cover that didn't have it. The idea is to bleed off oil that leaks around the shaft/bush and ends up at the cavity at the end of the shaft in the cover.
If you look closely, the hole should terminate in that cavity towards the bottom past where the bush is situated.
One theory voiced is that it prevents oil build up causing pressure on the end of the shaft, pressing the entire flywheel ass'y to the left, causing undue side thrust on the left side mainshaft thrust washer.
The actual feed to the flywheel ass'y is via the single hole in the bush itself, which gives one timed shot of oil per revolution to a matching hole in the side of the mainshaft.

...and I was warned 50 years ago by Uncle Dudley to plug the hole for more pressure to the pin.

Personally, I plug the hole, open the end of the mainshaft, and then trench the bushing from the oil output hole to the cavity at the end, to get full time oiling of the crank ass'y. Haven't personally worn out any thrust washers as yet.
