Now I know why the nut on mine was covered in chisel cuts. I just got it plenty tight with the torque wrench close and bent the tabs. I did use Rays spacer after 27 o-ring replacements (my lack of patience, awesome spacer)

Bumping this old thread.

I torqued up my sprocket nut according to manual spec of 140-150 ft*lb. Actually went with the 150 ft*lb on the torque wrench.

I get the notion in this thread this is way too much?

Not sure it makes any sense to break the lock washer and re-torque the nut to ~100 ft*lb at this point. I get the notion this the conclusion of the thread.

Still don't understand why almost want to follow the book on the main drive gear torque to 150 pounds ....the purposecwas trying to stop leak betwen spacer and shoulder of the gear the more pressure against each other the less chance of leak...no use to do that now with my spacer with o-ring
