Bubble Bag Guards

#1

Post by DuoGlide62 »

At Davenport I scored a RIGHT SIDE guard for my Royalite bags. Try as I did I couldn't find a left side.
Maybe one of my fellow panhead freaks has a LEFT side hanging from the rafters some where. If you do,
PM me and maybe we can do business.
Thanks, Rick

I found them. They are very persentable. A little pitting in the chrome. No scrapes, breaks, or bending. I don't have the caps for the ends. I can't afford to give them away. Make me an offer. Maybe find someone else who wants a right side one. You can PM me. Mike

Well, here's proof that networking on this site can pay off. Check out the 'new look' of my '62.
Thanks to pomike for coming through with a great set of bag guards.
Rick.

Very nice...!
I also like that little grab rail on the solo seat. What's the story on that?

Thanks guys. The seat rail is from a buddy seat. I had some lugs welded to the pan to bolt it to.

Hi Rick.
Looks like fall, too! Nothing like a good color ride. As far as the seat rail, that is not uncommon. I run mine like that, There is a regular mounting kit you can buy to adapt the regular seat rail to the solo seat. They aren't cheap, though, I seem to remember paying about $60 for mine. Glad the rails are working for you. Now, if I could only get those little metal clips to hold the seat cover on my buddy seat.............. Mike

Mike, where's a good place to look for that kit?
I've got a nice grab rail off my '59 buddy seat. I think I might like it on the solo seat I will put on my '52....
Thanks.

OK, Big. V-twin has it, pt.# 31-0461, $58.17 in the 2010 price guide I have. Probably all the others carry it. HD dealers will order it for you, also. Mike
