The only thing I question is,he said it hasnt been driven or even started up,but why does it have a plate on it and he has it covered up with a towel?

Hog,
The bike does appear to be complete and mostly original, but..... The guy says it hasn't been touched since they pulled it out of the garage, all I can say is that it MUST have been a pretty clean garage and it must have only sat there for like a week, or less. hmmmmm :?:

And it does have that "really cool old school heavy metal flake red paint job" too bad he couldn't figure out a way to put the word knucklehead in the description, he would double his money!

Nobody is suspicious about the windshield?
Or perhaps the tires?

The seller loses all credibility, but it looks delightful anyway.

It needs a matching bass-boat seat skirt, however.

National Cycle has been around since 1937, so the windshield could be the real thing...tires, too, or they could have been changed at some later date. No statement is made that it was rolled from the dealership straight into that barn, or that it wasn't well covered while it was in there. The former owner obviously took a lot of pride in her - she's a beauty.

Nothing in the ad says it went into that barn in 1964 - could be it went in in 2005, but the bike was just owned by someone who didn't ride much. And I personally dig that great funky bass boat metal flake.

All depends on what you're into I guess, but I see a lot more that's "Right" about that bike than otherwise. Given the free cash I would be bidding on that - my birthyear, my favorite color and combination, how could I not?

Of course, if I was, I would run the bike down on all the online forums to discourage competition...Is that why there seems to be a need to criticize anything appearing on eBay?

Sniped @ $16,500. buyer has low history numbers. One bid this month, this one.
Hope the deal goes thru OK & he shows up here & joins.

My own 65 was painted like a bass boat in the 70's and I was much happier. I let the purist decide how my bike should look.
I'm not that way anymore.
