muffler support brackets
The only difference I see between left and right brackets are a bevel on the front end of one and it is heavier wall tubing. Which side does the heavier wall bracket go? Thanks, Gary

Re: muffler support brackets
Factory supports are the same thickness. The aftermarket replacements are thinner. Sounds like you have one of each.

Re: muffler support brackets
Rubone, thanks for the reply, I always have unique situations. When I noticed this (thick and thin) on my 60FLH I looked at my 77. It was the same, just reversed, wrongly concluding the difference. Apparantly, both bikes have one of each. Gary

Re: muffler support brackets
Gary,
The brackets are mirrors of each other.
I had a hard time telling as well which is what until I learned I had two of the same side.. Brackets should point down and out when installed.
Good luck finding the correct hardware to mount. The parts book is confusing at best.
