compensating sprocket
can any one tell me if the compensating sprocket on a 59 pan should slide right on the crank shaft or does it need to be tapped a little my slides on about three quarters of the way then gets tight I know a little tap would get it the rest of the way on but I don't know how you would get it back off don't want to get it stuck on there

Re: compensating sprocket
The originals were a slight press fit to a slip fit. They were often quite tight. There is a factory puller to remove them.
