i have the circuit breaker cap that takes the speedo like cable attachment. i am looking at a few cable driven tachs off sportsters that are 1:2 ratio. will one of these work with my 65 flh? did 65 flh come with tachs as an option?
gracias,

Re: pan tachometer
There is a special cast mount that attaches to the handlebar cover and holds the optional tach on a '65. The ratio is the same as Sportster. The standard tach for that era is a Smiths built magnetic model driven off of the circuit breaker.

Re: pan tachometer
thanks robbie,
its just going to be used to set idle and get a good reading on when the counterweights kick out to advance timing on the auto advance

I agree, VPH-D!
All of my auto-advance timers, even a '66, have it.
No clue about distributors, though.
