Re: DATE CODE?
Then Its a 47? safety bead....what the hell do I have? I dont have another rim next to it to compare, so I have read the description in palmers, and the Information here ( Thank you Robbie and Jerry) and I'm not sure what it is.... Palmers says the standard rim is almost flush with the tire, this rim does seem to flare up a bit more....I post some more pictures, Thanks for the help guys!! Adam

Re: DATE CODE?
Your very last picture does not look like a safety bead type. The truth is in where the picture vanishes around the radius, no sign of a safety bead. Your hub is mid fifties at least since the zerk started in '55. or not! ( note that the entire thrust assembly with zerk was a "kit" that could retrofit anything!). What does the main body of the hub look like? It could easily be an early wheel with an updated thrust cover.

Re: DATE CODE?
Robbie, I'm going to take off the zerk thrust end cover, Its going on a 51, my other wheel hub is the earlier type. Thank you for your response, at least I know what I have now. Adam
