I tried to attach a photo to a my reply for the first time ( see my reply to "carb" in panhead forum) It's photo in pdf. format. It seems like you can click on the attachment and drill down and open the file, but how do you get it to appear as part of the post without any other actions.

If you attach it as a picture you'll see the picture: How to add a picture/attachment to your post

I click on post reply, I can't seem to find a button that says upload attachment. under the orange bar that says upload attachment is the option to choose a file and then add the file. When I choose the picture file and then add the file, all I see is the name of the file, not the actual picture. I don't see the same dialogues that are in the link you showed me, such as browse etc, Is it because I have a Mac?

Is it because I have a Mac?
Maybe/probably, I have no experience with a Mac.

Tried to do it on a PC, I can only add the file name, which you can view, then open and see the picture, but I can't simply add the picture. Do I have different version of the site?

Maybe a stupid question, but I assume you clicked on submit?

I see there is no text in the message, was that the case when it happened?

I have discovered the problem. I was using Google Chrome as my browser. A geek(no offense) told me that many sites don't function with Chrome as they were built with Expolorer. I am posting this reply using Internet explorer. In explorer I see a button marke "browse"....in chrome it's marked "search for file". Let me know if it works. One other question, How do I resize the photo?
Thanks

It works!. Good you found the solution.
For resizing pictures I use Irfanview (http://www.irfanview.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;), free and easy. Choose 800 x 600 or 1024 x 768 as dimensions.
