Cool ... Just got off the horn with the owner of this latest motor build ..
He said to powdercoat the parts in a alum finish ..
Keeping the stock look going on as close to the day it rolled out the factory doors back in the early 60"s ..
Well at least on the outside, he said to go ahead and shave the left side flywheel ..
Those are done and going into a box till needed ..
Taking a few pounds off the Oem flywheel ... It's going to be a Bobber. not a heavy, so that bit of ol' school Hot-Rodding will come in handy running between the lights ...

Been in the mode of coating all kinds of shi .. errrrrrrr .. stuff here lately ..
Two coats of Por-15 should keep the rust at bay for a few years yet to come ...
Other side got coated with epoxy primer ...
Going to get a nice color laid on it one of these days ..
Got the hood and one fender pretty much done, the rest is still yet to do ..

Re your neat truck
IHC Australia built/assembled with a lot of Aussie content, from 1930's to 65, the 110 120 130 etc K, A, AA & AB then 66 up 1100 1200 1300 etc in C & D line.
Pic is Aussie 66up C1100 with smaller and wider than stock wheels (not mine, pulled off net)
Aussie cabs, front fenders & rear bed were shared with equivalent Aussie built Dodge.
For many years I had a stock 1970 C1100 2wd, 281 6cyl, 4 speed, Dana rear, with OE Aussie made PBR 4 wheel disc brakes (opposed piston, solid rotor), loved everything about it except around town fuel consumption. I put dual fuel tanks in with a solenoid valve & dash switch, both tanks and original gauge wired together, stock mechanical fuel pump. It would then go over 600 miles non-stop, 20mpg (imperial gallons) on highway @ 6omph, once I picked up a hitch hiker just outside town, after a few hours he asked when I was stopping so he could take a leak, I told him I wasn't stopping for some time yet, when I did eventually stop, he tied himself in knots and sort of ran/hobbled doubled-over for the roadhouse.
In 60's Aussie army had a lot of cab-over IHC ACCO's, to meet army power requirements, some came factory hot-rodded with dual Strombergs on OE intake and OE cast iron, dual exhaust header manifolds.
But I digress.

Jesse....
Glad to see you are back up and running. Surely we have all missed your projects....
....RooDog....
Projects are backing up ...
Hell of a time getting parts anymore ...
That Baker N1 lid is the last of the Mohicans ...
Tried to get another one and was informed that they are no longer making any ...
But, they do still make the N1 conversion for the stock lids ..
Just got done loading one up for a tranny build ..
And S&S dropped the Ironhead Stroker pistons from their product line ... !! WTF !!
Got a few of them yet to build ..
I'm hoping KB will pick up the ball and run with it ..

BTW ...
Hit a lick on the old truck..
Shoot ... Kinda needed mud flaps ..
(Most likely the ol' Binder won't be seeing much mud)
And got a tad busy with installing A/C louvers in the dash ..
What I was shooting for was a factory look .. Which never was being IH never offered A/C in 54 ..
Think I got pretty dag-gum close to the look ??
For shits & giggles I'm going to repaint the dash in a woodgrain finish, like the cars of old had ..
Will be attempting to match the Caddy horn center ..
This will be good "IF" I can pull it off .. ??
-------------------------------------------------
Speaking of the "IF" ...
I'm after the wide-body look on the Binder ..
Nailed down the rear fenders with adding 3 inches to em ...
The front fenders are next in line to get done ..
All of the tire sticking out will be gone if I play the cards right .. ??
Been in the think-tank for more than a few moons on how I'll accomplish this ... I have a plan that will require a bit of metal work ...
The bumper that I used was off a 57 Chevy pickup, with the fenders adding bout 6 more inches up front, the Chevy bumper will not fit anymore ..
Sooooooo ... I have acquired a donor 57 bumper to cut up and add to the one on the truck ..
(Change one thing and 10 other will be needed to make that one work)
Hoping to net a nice clean look that will (Again) look like it came from the factory ...
Soon to jump into this job ... Very soon !!
I looked up SAS jugs & heads. Really nice looking stuff.
I really liked the dual carbby intake system...
But why the T&O fly wheels Vs $&$?
