Jiffy kickstand leg stop

Jiffy kickstand leg stop
My sidestand lock is failing so I need to replace it. The square hole is chewing out.
Bike is FXWG lookalike custom hack, made out of leftovers/junk as detailed elsewhere on this site.
The steel on these locks must be a fairly good grade because there's some serious leverage on that little square. Despite my patching it up, it's still tearing up.
My frame is FLH, unsure what the jiffy stand and bracketry is off exactly.
Can put better pics up if it helps ID.
Studying the topic I note the following details.
FX uses 50015-74. '74 - '84, all models.
FX '71 -'74 use 50094-36
FL, FLH use 50094-36 from '41 to at least '76
Looking at aftermarket parts,
Drag Specs leg lock, evidently does everything from '36 to '06. Can have for $9
Bikers Choice leg lock, also '36 -'06 . Can buy for $16
Questions:
What change happened to FX in '74 giving new part number?
Would either of the part numbers do?
Has anyone experience with either of these aftermarket ones above?, will I end up with the same issue?
Anything else that would be handy to know because I make a decision.
What do the voices of experience say. Please advise, thanks.

My 2c
50094-36 kickstand leg stop. was originally Parkerised, later cadmium plated, no change of part number when finish changed, change date unknown to me.
50015-74 kickstand leg stop, FX only, chrome, this time the MoCo changed part number, probably because chrome cost a bit more.
Kickstand leg stop must be tough, square hole must be a good, tight, no-slop fit on male square of leg/stand; often have to replace/rework leg/stand.

I take it that your problem is in the extended, deployed & down position, and not retracted, up and parked position.
These stands have always to me been a problem where the stop enters the leg bracket as the bracket tends to wear, stretching the opening the stop registers in and enlarges and gets sloppy. I solved this problem by adapting a Sportster spec leg to a home made bracket on my '68 FL way back in 1973, and am still using it on that bike. The process of kick starting a Harley puts a lot of strain on the jiffy stand. On my Big Red Evo I have a Harley FL/FX style AM stand with no issues, but it is E-start, and lives an easy life....

For a long time I had a cut back stand that could tuck under the belt, but I would have to shut the motor down for safety reasons (open belt) before reaching under and pulling out the stand. Messy job, too. Then I found this part (from someone on this site, a few years ago) and it's the answer to that issue. I feel like an idiot for not doing this sooner.
