1939-1954 tail lamp fender holes

Missing is the 6" distance marked for the top '47-54 stud slot "B".



Here's the dim's for '39-54 tail lamps on a V-Twin fender.

Just to be clear, For a tombstone tailight (B), it is exactly 6” from the cutout for the hinge to the top mounting hole, and 10.25” from the same cutout to the bottom hole? I just want to be sure before I drill my fender. Thanks again!

I would drill the 6" hole first then take your light and mark the second hole and drill that. Your light may be a tad off and you don't want to have to elongate the lower hole.

On factory fenders the top hole is a slot because factory lights had a stud on them, not a bolt so in order for the light to fit the hole was slotted to allow the stud to align as the light was installed.

Yes we can, but it is a awfully lot of work to check all posts for dead links. It is done when we encounter a post with dead links. It would help a lot if pictures are added as attachments and not as links to an external site (which disappears or asks money).
