Cigarette lighter wiring
Hey guys I have a cigarette lighter for an FLH, which wire is a go to go to what post? I tried setting one up one time and I got attached to what I thought was the main power but mistakingly went to my flasher and it wouldn’t never work right.

Re: Cigarette lighter wiring
What year? Do you have the micarta terminal board in the nacelle or '70-and-later multi-pin connectors?

Re: Cigarette lighter wiring
It is wired differently depending on if you want it always hot or only when the ignition switch is on. You say you got a lighter. The factory kit comes with the instructions.flatheadDave wrote: ↑Wed Nov 09, 2022 1:07 am Hey guys I have a cigarette lighter for an FLH, which wire is a go to go to what post? I want to turn the switch one click and then have the lighter functional.RUBONE wrote: ↑Wed Nov 09, 2022 2:32 pmIt is wired differently depending on if you want it always hot or only when the ignition switch is on. I think I would have to connect directly to the switch and not to the terminal plate, because isn’t the front terminal plate dedicated to the lighting circuit? There’s no blinkers on this bike. Stock set up 1961 duo … ? I bet you have the instructions some where Rubone!

Re: Cigarette lighter wiring
With stock factory wiring the terminal #25 (yellow wire) should be hot in either the on or accessory (park) position according to the wiring diagram in the Documentation section.
